Music appreciation is an individual experiance, don't let anyone tell you any different!

Now i have mentioned this the odd time but i really hate Music magazines and music critics.

What is there to criticise?

I maintain that loving music is an individual experience and no so called expert can EVER tell you otherwise.

No critic can ever tell you one band is shit, or copying another. After all it's what a band does for it's listeners that really matters.

Bad, untalented or not, it is what the individual listener hears that really matters.

If bands can reach each person 1 at a time and win them over, then they're job is done.

Mass fan groups, or the wider public for popular songs don't understand this. They follow trends, they follow what is popular and they assure you that only a specific band is the best, the greatest, the only superior band possible. Well i''m sorry but not in my books.

I HATE THE BEATLES
I HATE QUEENS OF THE STONAGE
I HATE KINGS OF LEON
I hate metal music
I have a general disdain for U2

I have a predominantly individual taste in music.

There's no point in listing every artist i listen to, but i listen to a lot.

Now i admit i do also follow popular trends, but sometimes ahead of everyone else, or in a different way.

He is a cross section of songs that, only today, sound like the best thing to me. Songs that make me feel good and make me want to sing along.

Tomorrow i might not feel the same way, but that's the beauty of music.
